Saint Joseph, Patron of workers

Saint Joseph’s life.

He was Mary’s engaged when she got pregnant by the action of the Holy Spirit, Joseph married her and became the foster father of Jesus. All his life he was a sweet and devoted husband. Joseph and Mary lived in chastity after Jesus was born. That is why Saint Joseph is sometimes represented with white lily flowers, a symbol of purity.

Saint Joseph, patron of workers, but not only

During his life, Saint Joseph provided anything necessary for the Virgin Mary and Jesus and looked after the Holy Family. Consequently he is the saint patron of the families. He was a carpenter in Nazareth and he became the patron of the workers. His feast which takes place in March 19, is very important for the craftsmen and the workers all over the world. When they need to find employment a lot of people trust a prayer to Saint Joseph.
